Earning A Child's Trust | Tomah, WI Photographer

If you take your child to a chain store studio, you can never expect for a child to show their natural personality.  If you're children are shy, like my two were, it easily becomes one of the most frustrating experiences ever.  This is why we started a studio!

This picture shows you what the first 15 minutes (sometimes longer) can be like in if your children are shy.  Little Addy was not at all interested in having us take her picture.  She wanted to make sure mom was right there the entire time ... so, we had mom just stand by her.  My second shooter, Nora, started talking to Addy about Dora & Umizoomi, and her baby brother that is coming in a couple of months.

Nora got Addy comfortable enough to sit on the couch next to mom and my husband, also known as the snow maker during our snow sessions, asked Addy if she would like to make some snow.  Mom helped her push the buttons and at last, about 15 minutes in, the smiles started coming!

This is my favorite part about being a photographer!
